Kwetu is often described as a ‘home away from home’ – a paradise for those wanting a more personal experience on the Kenyan coast. Located on a tranquil private beach on a 16 acre plot south of Diani Beach, distanced from residential neighbours by rocky cliffs and endless beach, Kinondo Kwetu is classified as a ‘Kaya’ area (protected by the National Museum) due to its surrounding holy forests and sacred land.

Impact created

A lot of our communal work is funded by the Kinondo Kwetu Trust Fund which has enabled us to give back to our community and village:

  • We founded the Kinondo Kwetu Health center, a clinic for medical treatment for the inhabitants of Kinondo. The clinic has was awarded ‘best clinic in the district’ and caters to over 100.000 patients yearly and give birth to 1700 Babies yearly. From 2021 it is now a Grade 4 hospital
  • We are supporting the primary school in Kinondo village. -improving the premises, paying teachers, sponsoring school uniforms and ensuring a good education.
  • We created the “Kinondo Kwetu Sponsorship Programme” – to ensure children can educate further into high school.
  • We are sponsors of the Whale Shark Trust and members of the Colobus Trust – aiding conservation in the local area.

Everything about Kinondo is exceptional. The staff is attentive, the food is delicious, and the location is beautiful. Our kids (14,11,8) enjoyed the pool, horseback riding, and playing on the beach.

Fantastic location on a quite part of the beach, lovely friendly staff who could not have been more helpful and great food. The villas are spacious and very well equipped and well laid out- we will definitely go back!
