Jewellery can be more than something pretty to wear. This experience gives you the chance to slow down, learn from local artisans and create something meaningful while being mindful of where the materials come from.
How?
Choose what you’d like to make and get hands on with the guidance of a local artisan. You’ll work with ethically sourced materials and gemstones to create a piece that is completely your own.
Your experience creates an opportunity for local artisans to share their skills, creativity and craft while earning an income from their work. Supports local craftsmanship, employment and skills development.
The workshop uses ethically and locally sourced materials and gemstones, helping make the creative process more conscious from start to finish.

Arrive at TribEarth Cafe and meet the local artisans who will be guiding your workshop. Take a moment to settle in, have a coffee, explore the creative space, materials and decide what piece of jewellery you’d like to make.
Time to get creative! Work alongside the artisans as you learn how to make your chosen piece using the materials and gemstones.
Take a little break, chat with the artisans and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the cafe. Ask questions, share ideas and learn more about the craft and the people behind it.
Add your finishing touches and admire what you’ve created. Afterwhich, there is an opportunity to explore Tribearth and experience the café, sustainable architecture, art and food. Finally, take your unique handmade jewellery home as a little reminder of your time in Kenya.

Definitely. You don’t need previous experience, just bring your creativity and be ready to have some fun!
The workshop is generally suitable for children aged 8 and above. Children must be supervised by a parent or responsible accompanying adult at all times.
Yes! The workshop takes place inside TribEarth Cafe, so you can enjoy the cafe food or drinks while you’re there and a complimentary coffee is included!
