I’m Sham, a Kenyan born chica who finds joy in travelling and in the incredible people, stories and landscapes that come with it. It’s an absolute pleasure to have you on the T4P website! Welcome into a world where travel meets purpose and where every adventure leaves something beautiful behind.
A few years ago, I was introduced to the negative impact travel can have, from the environmental harm caused by irresponsible tourism, to the exploitation of locals and the erosion of culture. It was eye-opening and honestly, it changed everything for me. The way we travel matters makes a HUGE difference.
Hence, Travel4Purpose was created; a seamless platform for conscious explorers like you to have a genuine, positive impact whilst travelling and livin’ your best life. Whether it’s supporting local communities, choosing eco-friendly experiences, or simply showing up with intention and respect, every trip through T4P is a step towards tourism that is kinder.
Behind every great trip is an even greater team. I’m so lucky to work alongside a passionate group of humans who are just as dedicated to making your experience unforgettable as I am.
Our mission is simply to create more smiles, uplift the communities that make travel so meaningful and show you our beautiful home, that is Kenya. We’re so excited to create magic with you!
Stay Joyful,
Sham (Founder)

T4P aspires to bring positive change for our travellers and the countries they travel to through connection, growth and smiles!

Definition: feeling, expressing, or causing great pleasure and happiness. Travel4Purpose creates Joy.
T4P was born to encourage exploration of the road less travelled with an inbuilt consciousness. If you’re looking for a holiday with nothing on the agenda but sitting on a beach and sunbathe all day, turn around. However, if you’re ready to immerse yourself in local culture, make a difference and build a community… you’ve come to the right place!
Sounds like your kinda thing?

Travel4Purpose & Alpine Adventures worked together to exceed our expectations in every way. From the very beginning, it was clear that this isn't just another travel company putting together an itinerary. Every detail was thoughtfully planned around our interests, preferences and experience, making the entire trip feel personal and effortless. Their commitment to creating meaningful, tailor-made adventures was evident every day of our journey. What impressed us most was how genuinely they live their ethos. Rather than feeling like tourists being moved from one attraction to the next, we felt connected to the places, people and stories that make Kenya so special. The team knew it would be our first wedding anniversary while we were away and made sure we were celebrated along the way – the most memorable absolutely the sundowner with food & drink watching the sunset over Masai Mara (where we’d seen lion hunt a hippo earlier that morning!). Absolutely magical & unforgettable. The planning and communication were exceptional. We are really busy and being able to trust the team to plan for us was a huge help. Their passion, local knowledge and genuine care shone through from start to finish. After the initial booking, the team kept us informed with preparations of what to pack, and ensuring we had completed visa applications & vaccinations. On arrival we were so excited to see a welcome bag with goodies for us (personalised bottles, safari hats, itineraries, helpful Swahili phrases and a mini Kenyan giraffe) and also to give back to the community. We had a full bag of food that we could give to someone in need – we chose some Masaii villagers; and indigenous seeds to ‘throw & grow’. This really set the tone for how thoughtful & genuine the experience was about to be. We hadn’t thought much about some of the details until we were there and that’s when we could see how every recommendation felt carefully considered, every transition was smooth, and there was always confidence that things were under control. Having a single guide & driver made life so easy and it was also wonderful to get to know Johnson. His knowledge was unmatched, with several other groups commenting on how he was always first at the scene given his natural instinct from growing up in Masai Mara. We saw EVERYTHING! Since coming home, many people have told us about waiting years to see leopards and cheetahs yet we saw it all in our first safari. We don’t believe it’s luck – it’s absolutely down to the skill of the guide. The car choice is another thing we had put no thought into but wow are we glad to have been in the Toyota Land cruiser. An incredible vehicle that made some rather bumpy roads as comfortable as possible. We saw other groups crammed into smaller vehicles that were not suitable and felt so relieved that team had booked us the best. We booked a variety of camps & lodges to make the most of our budget – but all were fantastic. The team knew it would be because they care enough to visit each before recommending them. The stand outs for us were Serenity Mara Legends Camp and Maisha Sweetwaters Camp. The joy & love we felt there made it hard to say goodbye. Each park we visited gave us something new to experience and the best chance of experiencing all wildlife. For example, Masai Mara doesn’t have rhino – but we didn’t miss out because Ol Pejeta has so many – overall a perfect balance. The stops along the way helped us see more of Kenya, besides the wildlife. The markets, the equator, Hell’s Gate National Park, Crescent Island and of course the Masaii village, we so enjoyed learning more about the culture and meeting so many wonderful people. Travel4Purpose & Alpine Adventures don't just organise holidays; they create experiences that are meaningful, impactful and unforgettable. We returned home with incredible memories, a deeper appreciation of Kenya, and complete confidence that our travels had contributed positively along the way. We highly recommend booking with the team - and we will absolutely be booking future safari’s with them!Posted on Google![]()

We had an amazing experience on the Mombasa City Tour with Travel4Purpose and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kenya! From the very beginning, Sham was incredibly helpful with booking the tour. Communication was always fast, clear, and friendly, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. On the day of the tour, we were picked up by our guide, Tyson. We immediately felt comfortable with him. He was enthusiastic, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Throughout the day, he shared fascinating insights into Kenya’s history and culture, making the tour both educational and enjoyable. Exploring Mombasa with a local guide gave us a completely different perspective on the city and its people. We felt safe at all times, met so many kind and welcoming people, and enjoyed some delicious local food along the way. This tour exceeded all our expectations and was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. A big thank you to Sham and Tyson for making it such a memorable experience. We would absolutely recommend Travel4Purpose to anyone looking for an authentic and unforgettable tour of Mombasa!Posted on Google![]()

Our experience with T4P was exceptional. We booked late on our way to Mombasa and Sham was super responsive and informative in helping us decide on the booking and timings. However, we unfortunately had a flight delay and arrived to Mombasa later than expected and although everything had already been organized, T4P was extremly accomodating and shifted their schedules around to fit us in the following morning. As a result, rather than the more typical sunset dhow ride we ended up doing a sunrise dhow in the channel with Harun, Salim and Abdul. It was sooo peaceful, and quiet. The water was glass but the breeze was still warm. We got to drift down towards the ocean and see the sun emerge over the horizon and then sail up into the mangroves while the town slowly woke up. The crew provided a delicious breakfast with fresh coconut water and were willing to take our photos and answer our million quesitons. What a special view of Mombasa from the boat! Highly highly recommend.

Mellow paddle up the Konge River… This is a very mellow canoe trip. Our guide was great. It’s a slow trip up the river and back down. Time to view and listen to the wildlife - lots or birds and bush babies. We could also hear traditional music and singing if a celebration in the woods. It was a nice evening.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Stunning sunset at Marafa Hells Kitchen I visited Marafa Hell’s Kitchen as a solo traveller and it was stunning! Pick-up was smooth and communication with the driver was great throughout. Our guide, Jimmy, was fantastic - really enthusiastic and had so much to tell us about Marafa, which made the experience even more interesting. The views were amazing and the sunset was absolutely beautiful. Definitely worth visiting if you have a few days in Malindi/Watamu as the experience starts late afternoon until sunset which is perfect for even a short trip.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Calm, Almost Meditative Sunset Ride The experience was amazing from the beginning to the end. Sham was kind and shared a lot about Travel4Purpose's mission to give back to society. We had a calming, almost meditative sail in the Kongo Strait where we spotted different kinds of mangrove trees and a variety of bird species. Our guide, Omar, was very informative and intentional about how he wanted us to enjoy. The sunset was so amazing that no one wanted to leave. I highly recommend this excursion if you want to go to the calm side of the Ocean Thank you, Sham and OmarPosted on Tripadvisor![]()

Sehr zu empfehlenPosted on Tripadvisor![]()

Great proximity to the animals but… Great proximity to the animals. Tour guide was pleasant but left us for 20min to guide another group without asking or clarifying, just told us to rest and then we saw him with the other group. Also a little concerned about some of the animal’s care. Many of the ostriches had plucked out patches of their feathers. Otherwise the animals looked good and at ease. However some of the patrons were also picking up the tortoises and rough handling them a little bit with it anyone to oversee.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Definitely Visit this Sanctuary We met our guide, Omar, at the sanctuary and started the walking tour of the grounds. Previous to this, we completed two national park tours in Kenya via a pop up type Jeep. Let me say this, you will not get as close to any animals in the national parks as you will here. Giraffes will pass feet away from you. Ostriches will let you touch/pet them. Groups of antelopes are a little skittish but you can still get near them. Tour took less than 90 minutes. Omar was magnificent. Pointed out various bird species, animal tracks and shared his knowledge of the sanctuary and animals. I promise this will be an unforgettable experience.
