Learning beyond tea, about the nature and agriculture of the area as well as educating the staff on the same.
This tea farm tour isn’t commercialised like many of the others, it’s more personalised and goes beyond tea too!

Totally, only 30 minutes from Nairobi we can help you with transport or you can use uber / your own transport.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from a tea farm tour, but this completely exceeded anything I could have imagined. We picked leaves straight off the bush, made our own scent bags, and sat in the most peaceful garden sipping three different herbal teas brewed fresh on the farm. It’s only 30 minutes from Nairobi but feels like a world away. If you’re looking for something that actually slows you down and reconnects you with the land, this is it.
Honestly one of the best decisions we made during our time in Kenya. Not touristy at all — felt personal, unhurried, and real. The farm uses no chemicals or machines, and knowing the harvesters are from the local community made the whole experience feel even more meaningful. We left with a little potted plant and a scent bag, but mostly we left with a completely different appreciation for a cup of tea.
We did this with our two kids (ages 8 and 11) and they haven’t stopped talking about it since. Picking tea leaves, potting their own plants, smelling everything in the sensory garden — it kept them genuinely engaged the whole time. As parents, we loved that it wasn’t just fun but educational too. You really do learn so much about nature, agriculture, and how the land around Nairobi is being farmed sustainably. A rare find.
Three hours, three herbal teas, and zero regrets. This tour does exactly what it promises — gets you out of your head and into the farm. Simple, grounding, well worth it.
