How?
Join a guided walk through the sanctuary, with the option to choose a shorter or longer route. Along the way, you can relax, explore and even bring along snacks or games to enjoy in the peaceful surroundings.

Arrive at the sanctuary and meet your guide, who will introduce you to the space and share a short briefing before you begin your walk.
Set off on a nature walk through lakes, indigenous plants and open landscapes. Keep an eye out for giraffes, ostriches, antelopes and other wildlife as you explore.
Take time to slow down and enjoy the surroundings. Relax among the giraffes, have a snack, play games or simply take in the unique experience of being so close to wildlife in a natural setting.
Continue exploring at your own pace before making your way back to the entrance, leaving with a memorable and peaceful connection to nature.
Wearing comfortable shoes such as trainers is a good idea.
Bring a water bottle, sun protection and a device with a camera!
Nope, but we can certainly help organise this or give you taxi numbers! Uber is always an option too.
Not sure where to start with this review. Shammi at Travel4Purpose is just amazing and our experience was magical and exceeded our expectations. We stayed at Saltlick and did Safari along with 2 night stay in Mombasa where we did a giraffe experience. Everything about our trip was more than we could ever imagine. Also want to shout out 2 drivers Tyson and Henry who were also amazing. Both very knowledgeable, friendly and made the giraffe and safari experience an experience I will remember for the rest of my life.Henry has 20+ years safari experience and we saw things I only ever see on TV. Pictures online do not do Saltlick justice it’s just stunning place to stay.I have been planning our trip for over a year and I have been very picky but nothing was too much for Shammi even when dates were moved. She also helped book train tickets and provided a lot of guidance which made my whole booking experience easy. Majority of our communication was via WhatsApp and it was easy with very quick responses.I even got to meet Shammi in Nairobi to personally thank her and she’s just as nice in person as over the phone.I would recommend her to anyone who wants to book a trip to Kenya whether it be a safari or something else. Trust me you will not be disappointed! I would post all my pictures if I could but here are some highlights
Great experience to see some beautiful animals like giraffes and antelopes. Omar is a patient and skillful guide
We really enjoyed the Giraffe walk program. We paid through Travel4Purpose website. It was somewhat confusing at first. The lady at the office at the address that they gave us through WhatsApp told us to go up the dirt road and then someone should meet us. It was super hot and sounded like we’re just going into African savanna on our own. But then a guide met us midway. After that it was quite fun. It would be better if it was organized differently. There is a private plot of land where they have some wild animals that were raised along with humans, so they are not super skittish or aggressive. They have multiple giraffes, ostrich, turtles and antelopes that we saw. All walking alongside the visitors. You won’t be able to pet them (those are wild animals after all) but you will be really close to them.Make sure to put on some hiking shoes and bring some water though because your uber will probably not get you all the way there. So you’ll need to walk for about 10-20 min. But it’s all doable. Really cool idea.
Simply perfect. We went to Nguuni Sanctuary Reserve and it was fabulous! We left Mombasa with stars in our eyes and our heads full of memories. A huge thank you to Shammie, Omar, and Tyson for making it all possible. We had very little time, and everyone went above and beyond to meet our needs. We loved everything, from the initial contact to the visit itself. We can’t wait to come back and do more. Thank you so much for everything. Don’t hesitate to use Travel4Purpose; I highly recommend this agency. As a traveling mother with a child, I found them to be available, adaptable, and secure. It was wonderful.
We loved the flexibility of the arrangement. That we could take it in our speed. I arrived in a tuk tuk around 2:45pm and wanted to rest a bit before starting with the tour. The guide was very very kind and allowed us to take it in our speed. It was me and my 6 years old daughter. I recommend you bring plenty of drinks and food.
Booked the walk with giraffes with T4P. Had an awesome day at the park, guide Konde was very passionate about his work and told us alot about the environment and the giraffes. The giraffes can roam freely but are very curious about people.Contact with Sham from T4P was really nice, could ask all my questions and responded very quick. Would book again!!
We had such an amazing experience doing the giraffe nature walk through travel4purpose!! Not only did we get to see giraffes, but we got to learn about all the important work they do to preserve the land and educate the next generation to do the same!! We booked it last minute and they had no problem fitting us in! Loved it!!
The trip was amazing! We loved spending time with the giraffes, the tortoises and the antelopes. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and it was a fantastic way for us to start the day.
We’ll be recommending the sanctuary to any of our friends who happen to be passing by Mombasa in the future
Very interesting experience. You get to walk along free roaming giraffes which you can get to observe from a very close distance. Also ostriches, leopard turtles, guinea fowls and antelopes. The giraffes and the ostriches are used to seeing people so they are really friendly and let someone get really close to them. I really enjoyed the experience. Also the walk through the nature of the sanctuary was very interesting.
T4P is absolutely incredible. She arranged a trip for my husband and I to visit the Giraffes, and it was by far the highlight of our trip to Mombasa. She made sure we were there for feeding time, had a guide there waiting for us, and even offered to hand deliver our brunch to us (although we had already planned to visit another restaurant so we did that instead). We had the entire picnic site to ourselves. It was just us, the giraffes, and our guide (who was also fantastic). She arranged everything for us so we could just enjoy the day. Everything went so smoothly. It was incredible—an experience we will never forget.
Next time we are on the coast, we will definitely use her again because she knows the area so well, has great connections with the local places, and is amazing to work with. She was so sweet, caring, and accommodating. Can’t say enough good things!!!
Travel4Purpose organised the whole Nguni experience for us, which included a 5km walk, spending time with the giraffes, excellent guides , she also set up our picnic and arranged games too.
It made the experience for 15 of us so beautiful, i have no words. Thank you, we will definitely do the next one with you!
Sham arranged our whole morning at the nguuni nature walk. Amazing service, no hassle. Spoilt rotten. It was a perfect Saturday morning.
