We had an amazing time on Qamili’s food tour! It was our first time in Mombasa, and it was so great to have a local show us the best spots. We also loved just being able to stroll the streets and learn about Mombasa’s fascinating history. Thanks Qamili!!

T4P planned two incredible tours for us, and everything was flawlessly organized! Our first tour was a safari at Nairobi National Park. The guide picked us up right on time, and the experience was nothing short of amazing—we saw so many incredible animals up close! The second tour was a food tour in Mombasa, and we loved every moment of it. Not only did we get to taste delicious local cuisine, but we also learned so much about the rich history of Old Mombasa as we explored the area.I highly recommend T4P for your tours—they’re exceptionally well-organized, and the guides are warm, knowledgeable, and friendly!

Delayed review of Mombasa food tour in Feb 2024 booked via travel4purpose. This tour was great and super easy to book via Sham. Chaqula was an excellent guide in Mombasa with all the snacks super tasty, supporting local businesses. Would book something via travel4purpose again in future!

I loved my experience on the street food tour! Qamili quickly became a friend, we explored areas of Mombasa I haven’t been to, and enjoyed some delicious street eat. Sham & Qamili communicated well and everything was smooth pre and post tour. I highly recommend it!

We absolutely LOVED our Mombasa food tour hosted by Chaqula! She is so knowledgeable about the areas that she took us to, and she took us to spots with the tastiest food around! I highly recommend taking this tour if you’re visiting Mombasa or even if you are a local!!

I booked 2 tours with Sham, the Mombasa city tour and the food tour. Both are incredibly knowledgeable and good fun. Tyson did the city tour and ensured an informative trip around the old town, spice market, Hindu temple and the famous city tusks. Then Qamilli took me on a food tour, showing me how sugar cane juice is made, a local energy and pick me up drink, with some amazing local falafel type nibbles, then on to the other side of Mombasa to have freshly made sweet potato, cassava chips with chilli and lime. a very tasty experience 🙂

Our family did the Food tour with Qamili and it was excellent. For over 2 hours we walked around the city trying different foods from vendors she knew. She explained elements about the city and focused on specific Mombasa cuisine which often doesn’t get showcased as it should. A great afternoon enjoyed by our entire family and memorable experience. Highly recommended

Book this foodtour!! This is the best activity in Mombasa. It’s great fun, delish food and drinks, nice company. Really worth it. It takes a bit longer than 2,5 hour, they are really taking the time/adapting to your needs.Next to that it’s nice to get in touch with Qamili for some other food recommendations too.Thank you!

This is a truly wonderful experience and I highly recommend it to everyone. All the food was incredibly well made with delicious flavours and, most importantly, with love. The tour took us on a whistle-stop tour of the best street food spot in Mombasa. We went on the tour with Qamili who helped us before we even got there by arranging a good value ride to the first location. She was lovely and so knowledgeable about the city and had great relationships with each of the vendors. Special shout out to Adele’s amazing Eritrean coffee experience in an area called Lighthouse, meeting her and the beautiful setting was the highlight of the tour for me (dare I say my whole trip!). Shammi was also so helpful organising this for us on such short notice (1 day!) – incredible hosts 🙂

If you’re looking for a nice tour of the old city, perspectives from a local resident and a variety of tasty things you may be too uncomfortable to order yourself, this tour is for you. Our guide Qamili was very friendly and forthcoming. We enjoyed our tour. You will also have a better understanding of where the good restaurants are and what things to try when you go out on your own.

Had an amazing Mombasa food tour with Qamili. She’s a super nice and friendly person. We’ve had several stops to experience the local food and not only was the food very delicious there were also some really nice views she showed me. The tour was organized late afternoon which I think was a very good decision considering the hot temperatures in Mombasa. The tour takes around 2 hours /2,5 hours so there’s no need to rush. I’ve enjoyed it so much and would definitely recommend it.
