From the jewellery making to the wildlife aspects, this tour was such a different way to see Nairobi which we loved, thank you T4P!
The Travel4Purpose team were absolutely superb. They helped arrange an unforgettable holiday in Nairobi, Tsavo national park and Mombasa. Their prices are very reasonable and they were extremely accomodating for our requests and thus allowed for a very personalised experience. We particularly enjoyed the city tours in Nairobi and Mombasa as well as our safari in Tsavo. Would highly recommend to any future travellers
Nairobi completely surprised me — this tour shows you a side of the city that most tourists never get to see. Making jewellery with the Maasai women was the kind of moment you don’t plan for but end up carrying with you long after you’ve left.
We only had half a day in Nairobi before our safari and honestly didn’t expect much — we were wrong. Travel4Purpose put together something that felt genuinely thoughtful rather than just ticking tourist boxes. The bead jewellery experience with the women’s cooperative was a real highlight; you’re sitting there learning a craft and realising the bigger picture of what these women have built for themselves. Feeding the giraffes was obviously incredible, but it was the souvenir shop at the end that quietly got us — knowing your purchase is going towards street kids’ education just changes the feeling of it entirely. If you’re passing through Nairobi, do this instead of nothing.
We travelled with our two teenagers who are usually impossible to impress, and even they came away talking about this tour at dinner. The Giraffe Centre was the obvious crowd-pleaser, but the Bomas of Kenya was actually what sparked the best conversation — seeing how 47 different tribes live so differently within one country was genuinely eye-opening for the kids. Our guide kept everything moving without it ever feeling rushed, which is hard to pull off with a family. The fact that so much of what we did was feeding back into local communities made us feel like our time in Nairobi actually meant something.
Didn’t expect to feel this much on a city tour. Travel4Purpose nails the balance between showing you Nairobi authentically and making sure the people who actually live there benefit from your visit — that’s rarer than it should be.
