Participating in the Farm Tour with Farm to Table Meal was an absolute delight!
This immersive experience allowed us to connect with the heart of agriculture and appreciate the journey of our food from the farm to our table.
We came out here with our two kids just looking for a fun Saturday away from the city, and honestly it exceeded every expectation. The kids were absolutely beside themselves feeding the animals — I don’t think I’ve seen my son smile that wide in months. The farm tour itself was genuinely educational; our guide knew everything and had this calm, warm way of explaining things that even our 5-year-old was locked in. And then the lunch… I wasn’t expecting much from a vegetarian spread but it was honestly one of the best meals we’ve had since moving to Nairobi. Everything tasted like it was picked five minutes ago — because it basically was. This is the kind of day out that reminds you there’s so much beauty just outside the city.
Didn’t know what to expect booking this alone but it was a perfect reset. Good food, good people, good energy — exactly what I needed
We booked this on a whim during our Nairobi stopover and it turned out to be the highlight of our whole trip. The farm is genuinely beautiful — lush, well-kept, and full of life. What struck us most was learning how intentional everything is: the organic farming, the bio-digesters, the fact that every single person working there is hired locally. Our guide, a woman from Ngecha village, was so proud of the work they do there and that pride was contagious. The farm-to-table lunch in the garden was a proper three-course meal and every bite had flavour you just don’t get from supermarket produce. If you’re passing through Nairobi and want something that feels real — not touristy — this is it.
We organised this as a team day out for about 12 of us and it worked brilliantly. There’s something about walking through a farm together, tasting things straight from the ground, that gets people talking in a way a boardroom never does. The lunch afterward was a full spread — generous, fresh, and honestly impressive for a farm setting. A few of our colleagues didn’t even realise the whole meal was vegetarian until someone pointed it out. What stayed with me personally was hearing about the women empowerment work they do through the farm — it felt good knowing that just showing up and enjoying the day was contributing to something bigger. Would do this again without hesitation.
