I needed a reset, and Tigoni delivered. Gliding through endless green tea farms on an e-bike with zero agenda and zero exhaust fumes — honestly one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time.
We weren’t sure what to expect, but this ended up being one of the highlights of our entire Kenya trip. The rolling hills of Tigoni are just stunning — the kind of green you don’t believe is real until you’re actually standing in it. Our guide was brilliant, incredibly knowledgeable about the tea farms and genuinely passionate about the area. We stopped so many times just to take it all in (and take way too many photos). What we loved most was knowing that our ride was actually doing something good — supporting local guides and keeping tourism away from the same overcrowded spots. 10/10, would do it again on our next visit.
Our kids are 9 and 13 and they both absolutely loved it — no complaints, no ‘are we there yet’, just pure excitement the whole way. The e-bikes made it so accessible for all of us, and the tea farm stop was genuinely fascinating for the whole family.
We did this as a team outing and I cannot recommend it enough for groups. There’s something about being out on bikes together, away from screens and offices, that just gets people talking and laughing in a way that no team lunch ever manages. The route is gorgeous — you’re weaving through villages, climbing into the hills, and suddenly you’re surrounded by tea as far as you can see. The midway café stop was a vibe. Our guide kept the energy up the whole time and clearly loves what he does. It felt good knowing the experience was eco-friendly and putting money directly into the hands of local people doing meaningful work.
