It is the kind of place where you can fully switch off, reconnect with nature, and settle into the rhythm of the bush.

We started our trip to Kenya at Chui Lodge and after landing at 5am it was a bit of a trek from Nairobi, especially at the end of the journey as the road is very potted but that’s soon forgotten when you’re experiencing the warmest welcome! After a delicious breakfast, the staff also tried to get our room ready ahead of check in time to allow us to rest and shower before the first game drive.

Our room had been beautifully decorated for our anniversary and the evening fire and hot water bottle were also appreciated. We didn’t get the bath as expected from our reservation which I was hoping for to help me with recovering from a broken ankle but in the end we weren’t in the room that long and the shower worked fine.

The meals were all absolutely delicious – they accommodated me as a vegetarian perfectly – and the wines were great quality too.

The game drives were great and we loved the boat trip on Lake Naivasha to see the amazing bird life and abundance of hippos! The sundowner experience each night was wonderful and we enjoyed a bush breakfast one morning too – amazingly there was a proper toilet so we enjoyed a mimosa too.

Since we stayed 3 nights we managed to fit in a trip to Lake Nukuru which was well worth it to see lions and rhinos.

The staff were all super friendly.

We loved sitting on the lawn overlooking the water hole and watching the wide variety of animals that visited. We also enjoyed a swim in the pool. Asante sana to everyone!

Incredible place, hotel team, food and experience. First of all, our guide Aron is an amazing professional, who knows all animals and birds within the sanctuary, their behavior, temper and some of them by names. We were so lucky to see a leopard with 2 cubs on our diary safari on the same day we arrived.

Hotel tea, welcome and food is just exceptional. Amazing attention to every single detail, thank you Kate, Stanley and Anton. You made our stay unforgettable.

Bush breakfast with the view of giraffes, sundowner in Savanna, beautiful safaris, lots of animals. Another advantage is that animals come very close to the hotel site and you can see them during the day from your room or the table.

Imagine having your meals each day overlooking the Savannah with a variety of animals peering back at you. That’s what you will get at Chui Lodge. That and so much more!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. The staff were amazingly attentive and anticipated your every need. The food was scrumptious and they’re able to meet all dietary requirements. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated with a large comfortable bed, big bathroom and bathtub. The property is breathtaking with a lovely swimming pool. Lastly, the great game drives were enjoyable and you will see lots of animals. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend the luxurious Chui Lodge for your next adventure!!
